Keeping Your Pets Safe, Indoors & Outdoors
Keeping your pet safe both indoors and outdoors is any dog or cat owner’s number one priority, so when it comes to choosing the best containment that is right for your home, then there are a number of options available. You could of course opt for an ugly, 7ft tall, high maintenance fence that surrounds the entirety of your property, or you could get an electric dog fence.
These types of fences are not only hidden but are ideal in training your pet. You can allocate where you want the boundaries to be, and, depending on the brand you purchase, someone will either install it for you or you can do it yourself.
The wireless pet containment system is then connected up to a transmitter (located inside your house) and a receiver (placed on your pet’s collar). When your pet moves too close to the pre-determined boundary, it will receive a correction in the form of a beep, static shock or both to stop it going any further. If your pet still continues towards the boundary, more frequent or more severe corrections are emitted until it backs away.
Similarly, an indoor pet fence can be set up to prevent your pet entering certain areas inside your house. The transmitter is once again plugged in and emits the same signal as an outdoor fence would. This type of system can stop pets going in specific rooms or even upstairs should you wish it.
Not only are these fences beneficial for keeping your pets safe, they are good training tools and so are convenient for you too.
